How can you become involved in preventing child abuse? Keeping children safe is no easy task, but at the Pataula Center for Children it's our goal to provide a safe environment for children whom have been neglected and/or abused.

Pataula Center for Children provides Stewards of Children Child Sexual Abuse Prevention by Darkness to Light training for anyone in our 7 counties.  The cost is $10 per individual for the 2 hour session.  The cost covers the workbook supplied during the training. Limited grants are available in some counties, call Pataula Center for Children to see if you are eligible for free training. You can find out more about Stewards of Children at the D2L Website: www.d2l.org.

When you donate to the Pataula Center for Children, you are playing a direct role in the prevention of child abuse. Your donations and time spent volunteering help a dedicated and passionate staff carry out the Pataula Center for Children's mission to keep children safe.

We need volunteers who will help advise us on how to better serve the communities in our area, be successful in fundraising, and reduce the incidence of child abuse. The time required is small but the rewards are immense!

Our Center provides health and safety bags to children seen at the center and to children who enter into foster. The bags contain sample-sized hygiene items and a washcloth. Items can be donated for these bags.

The Pataula Center for Children is funded in part by the Children's Advocacy Centers of Georgia, Inc. and the Dept. of Human Services (DHS)-Division of Family and Children Services (DFCS) through appropriations from the Georgia General Assembly. The Pataula Center for Children is a full member of the Children's Advocacy Centers of GA, achieving full membership status in July 2011.

Our specialized services are free to those who are referred to us by law enforcement and the Department of Family and Children's Services.
